As a Media Trainer for the UNHCR over the past seven years, I have supported hundreds of international emergency responders in effectively delivering impactful messages to global broadcasters. Through a combination of classroom-based training and field simulation exercises, my media training solutions allow participants to refine their messages and articulate significant ideas in ways that resonate with either a broad or a specialised audiences.
Furthermore, I have created training materials in both video and written formats for public organizations and large enterprises, helping them develop concise and effective training programs for their staff and clients.
With experience in managing locations, casting, crewing, logistics and other production aspects of countless feature films and TV shows, I bring in-depth knowledge and industry contacts to the table to support your production.
For productions in the East of England, FILM Suffolk - the hub for all regional film creatives in the East of England, that I founded in 2014 - can support you to find the crew and talent you require with its database of over 2000 regional cast and crew.
With these unique resources, my team and I produced 3 feature-length anthologies, each with a unique production approach, which resulted in the involvement of over 500 cast and crew across 25 units in total. It doesn't get much more complex than that!
With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, film and media education feels like second nature to me in any context. I have a proven track record of devising workshops and training programs for hard-to-reach students pursuing alternative education pathways, as well as developing degree programs for multiple universities. My mission is to provide innovative, engaging, and relevant film education tailored to the individual’s needs while also reflecting the demands of the current industry.
I am PGCE-certified and currently conducting PhD-level research with the University of Birmingham. Additionally, I am a trained Arts Award Adviser with Trinity College London.
Cinema has revisited the question of a single character travelling across many bodies for over half a century—from Buñuel’s Cet Obscur Objet du Désir to Todd Solondz’s Palindromes and the recent collective feature Train Station. Allowing identity to migrate from face to face—forty actors, forty directors, one continuous self—not only challenges the auteur myth but continually forces audiences to renegotiate empathy, modelling a networked mode of production that now feels native to 21st‑century culture.
